AASHTOWare Project Estimation is a web-based cradle-to-grave estimation application. AASHTOWare Project Estimation provides a variety of estimation methodologies (bid-based, cost based, reference based, parametric estimation, ad hoc pricing, collection bases) to perform your estimates. AASHTOWare Project Estimation includes the assessment and assignment of risk contingency, life cycle analysis tools, expansion of existing import/export capabilities, inclusion of non-bid costs, non-construction costs and markups, and the ability to utilize snapshots in creation of an audit trail for the agency’s estimates. The software provides the ability to run a quick analysis of bid-history pricing to utilize in what-if scenarios and planning discussions. AASHTOWare Project Estimation contains interactive graphical display for accessing the dynamic bid history profile utilizing the AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics analysis.
Features
Dynamic bid history profile functionality eliminates the need to retrieve data from external applications. Users set profiles to utilize rolling date ranges to generate prices from the most recent and appropriate set of data.
Outside the confines of the cost estimate, users can run a quick analysis of bid-history pricing that is ideal for hypothetical scenarios and planning discussions. These results are viewed in interactive graphical displays for easy point-and-click data access.
A single point of data entry for all cost estimates promotes a streamlined workflow for the estimate, eliminating the need for internal hand-offs that can create discrepancies and disputes about the scope of work.
AASHTOWare Project Estimation requires licensing of AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction. For bid-based pricing, licensing of AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics is required.
If requested, Estimation may be obtained at no additional costs with an existing paid license of Estimator, for a maximum of 2 years. This option is intended to help agencies implement Estimation at no additional cost. Once in production with Estimation, an agency must begin paying the associated license fee.
License
An annual license for AASHTOWare Project Estimation is available for purchase. Costs associated with installation, implementation, supplemental support and training are the licensees’ responsibility. Service units may be purchased from AASHTO to cover installation, implementation, supplemental support, and training costs.
AASHTOWare Project Estimation may be obtained as part of the following bundled module and hosting license options. These options are intended for member agencies who want to combine module licensing and hosting services licensing into a single license.

A 12-Month evaluation license is available for purchase. The evaluation license includes two Evaluation License Service Units of support at no additional cost. Evaluation License Service Units (ELSUs) are valid only for the one-year duration of the associated evaluation license. The licensee may use these ELSUs at its discretion to assist with installation, implementation, and training activities during the evaluation period. Unused ELSUs units expire at the end of the one-year license period.
An evaluation license valid for up to 180 days can be obtained at no fee. The software provided is not a demonstration copy but the actual executable full-function current software release of the product. Execution of an Evaluation License Agreement is required. This no cost option is limited to one evaluation period per agency per product prior to licensing.
This non-member organization license option includes the complete AASHTOWare Bridge Design software for use on an unlimited number of workstations within the non-member organization or installed on a server for unlimited user access. This license includes both installation support and application support.
This license includes the complete AASHTOWare Bridge Design software on a standalone workstation. This license includes both installation support and application support. Use of the AASHTOWare Bridge database under this license is limited to a single user at a time working on the same machine where the database is installed.
Organizations licensing workstation versions of both AASHTOWare Bridge Rating and AASHTOWare Bridge Design may request to have their software delivered with a single-user interface which provides access to both products.
Consulting engineering firms performing design work, or other agencies working with and supplying information to/for a member agency holding a valid license to the AASHTOWare Bridge Design Unlimited License may obtain a single workstation copy of AASHTOWare Bridge Design for a special license fee. Under this licensing option, the sponsoring member agency (holding the Unlimited license) must approve the consultant to license under their unlimited license to perform work on bridges that are included in their unlimited license inventory. Contractor support for this licensing option is limited to two (2) hours of installation support.
Organizations licensing workstation versions of both AASHTOWare Bridge Rating and AASHTOWare Bridge Design may request to have their software delivered with a single user interface which provides access to both products.

The software provided is not a demonstration copy but the actual executable full-function current software release of the product. Execution of an Evaluation License Agreement is required. This no cost option is limited to one evaluation period per agency per product prior to licensing.
This license exists for educational institutions within the jurisdictions of our Member Departments, and/or Associate Members to AASHTOWare Bridge Design or AASHTOWare Bridge Rating free of charge for use in the classroom. This license is not available to individuals, and it is not to be used for research, graduate work or any other purpose.
This license is available to third-party developers, subject to AASHTOWare Bridge Task Force approval, who wish to create bridge software tools that would link to the AASHTOWare Bridge database and/or utilize the AASHTOWare Bridge Design/AASHTOWare Bridge Rating GUI. End users of third-party tools would be required to be a licensee of the AASHTO base system in order to use the third-party linkage. A third-party developer cannot distribute the AASHTO base system. Third-party developed software can be licensed, if desired, by the third-party developer independent of AASHTO. The cost for this license is $2,100.
